We're Hiring! Marketing & Online Sales Manager Role at Flow State

Location: Arkell, Ontario (in-store with some remote flexibility)
Type: Full-time, Contract
Reports to: Owner / General Manager

About Flow State Bike Co

Flow State Bike Co is Southern Ontario’s only boutique bike shop & licensed coffee bar — a community hub next to trails built around a passion for bikes, coffee, and the outdoors.

From service and rentals to gear and workshops, we’re deeply passionate about offering our customers the tools and experiences that get them into their flow state.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Marketing & Online Sales Manager to help us expand our digital presence, unlock new sales channels, and grow our online storefront and marketing systems.

The Role

This is a multifaceted role ideal for someone who loves both marketing and operations. You’ll be responsible for growing online revenue, managing our website and inventory, and leading our social media and email marketing efforts — while also supporting shipping and receiving behind the scenes.

You’ll work closely with the owner and shop team to turn ideas into action, campaigns into sales, and products into well-run systems.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce & Online Sales

  • Manage and optimize our website (product listings, collections, inventory, pricing, promotions)
  • Add new products, variants, images, and descriptions to the online store
  • Ensure accurate syncing of inventory between our website and POS system (Lightspeed)
  • Identify, create, and manage new sales channels (online campaigns, bundles, digital offers, rentals, workshops, merch, etc.)
  • Pursue and manage new direst shipping opportunities with our suppliers
  • Monitor online sales performance and suggest ongoing improvements

Shipping & Receiving

  • Oversee shipping and receiving for online orders
  • Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate inbound product shipments and update inventory accordingly
  • Maintain organized back-of-house systems related to e-commerce fulfillment

Marketing & Brand Management

  • Take ownership of Flow State’s social media channels (content planning, posting, engagement)
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotions, announcements)
  • Collaborate with the team to align marketing with events, product launches, and seasonal priorities
  • Maintain brand voice, visual consistency, and storytelling across platforms
  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategy as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in marketing, e-commerce, or digital sales (retail or lifestyle brands preferred)
  • Comfortable working with websites, online stores, and inventory systems (Shopify or similar is an asset)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter mindset — you see opportunities and take initiative
  • Strong understanding of social media and email marketing platforms
  • Interest in cycling, outdoor gear, and community-driven brands is a big plus

Why Work at Flow State?

  • Be part of a growing, values-driven local business
  • Creative freedom and real ownership over marketing and online sales
  • A fun, supportive team environment
  • Staff perks and discounts on bikes, gear, accessories, and apparel
  • Opportunity to grow with the company as we expand
  • Delicious coffee, ice cream, and baked goodies
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Bonus points if you include examples of:

  • Online stores or sales channels you’ve helped grow
